Stephen P. Sinisi is the founding and managing member of the firm. Mr. Sinisi graduated from Rutgers University School of Law in 1972 and thereafter was admitted to the New Jersey Bar that same year.
Mr. Sinisi is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey, the U.S. Court of Appeals, Third Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Mr. Sinisi’s practice areas include zoning, land use and development/redevelopment, tax appeals, municipal and government law, prerogative writs litigation, civil and chancery litigation, real estate and commercial transactions.
Mr. Sinisi previously served as East Rutherford’s Special Counsel and Tax Appeals Counsel. He is also serving as Carlstadt’s special tax appeals counsel. Previously, Mr. Sinisi served as General Counsel for the Bergen County Utilities Authority (1983-2004), as well as special counsel (February 2004-2017); he has also previously served as Borough Attorney for various municipalities, including Palisades Park, Leonia, Dumont, and as interim Borough Attorney in Hasbrouck Heights. Mr. Sinisi also served as the Planning Board Attorney for Fairview and Hillsdale and as Prosecutor and Municipal Court Judge for the Township of Rochelle Park.
Mr. Sinisi has served as a member of the Bergen County Bar Association, Land Use Section and speaker at the Bergen County Land Use Symposium, held at Bergen County Community College in Paramus.
Mr. Sinisi has occasionally been appointed by the Superior Court of New Jersey as condemnation commissioner, special fiscal agent and/or receiver in various matters in connection with entities involving diverse business disputes.
